The Chilean Society of Hypertension organizes its annual Congress every year where its Board of Directors and active members meet to discuss contingent issues related to high blood pressure and present the result of his scientific-clinical investigations. However, due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19 in our country that make physical distancing an imperative, the Chilean Society of Hypertension has decided to hold its annual Congress in the format of the Webinar Conference, to share, analyze and update on the associated high problems of high blood pressure with this pandemic.
“It has seemed opportune to analyze from this perspective common pathogenic mechanisms, the epidemiology of the health moment, the dilemmas that appear with antihypertensive drugs and their access and aspects on the individual risk of the hypertensive patient at this time. We have tried to debate aspects that impact on the daily management that the health team in charge of hypertensive patients is currently doing, “declares the Board of Directors of the Chilean Society of Hypertension.
